About us
Why is
the Manx NFU important?
The Manx NFU is the only collective and
coherent voice of the farming industry in the Isle of Man.
- Over the next few years the Manx NFU is
more important than ever, as the industry reforms to prepare for the
potential introduction of the free market in January 2011.
- The Manx NFU is also the main way other
groups (e.g. environmental or wildlife) can get in touch with Manx
farmers.
What
does the Manx NFU do?

heard at the heart of government, both in the Isle of Man and across

sectors of Manx farming: dairy, arable, sheep, beef, pigs, bio-fuel,

decisions made by the Manx NFU?
- We exercise a
system of one-member-one-vote democracy at branch level (southern,
central and northern branches).
